What do you know about street-racing? Have you any idea how many people die in car accident every day? According to the World Auto News & Reviews’ statistics more and more people die in street racing. It should be mentioned that not only street racers die but spectators and just bystanders are also in great danger. Everyone knows that street racing is very dangerous activity but still many people eager to take part in racing even in spite of the fact that it is illegal practically in every country. Why is it so appealing to many people? Who is involved in these activities mostly?

There are several reasons to this problem. Young people between 18 and 25 years old are mostly involved in racings. Some people take part in them to show themselves and their cars. Others because of the rush of adrenaline they get. Some people like the sound of engine and a feeling of power over a heavy moving steel horse.  Others like street racings because they can win money. Also, young people just have nothing else to do. They are not interested in anything, they do not have any hobbies and that is why they take part in street racings. As it was mentioned above street racing is illegal in many countries, but still the per cent of car accidents is still high. Street racing videos are widely spread in the Internet. Everyone uses the Internet nowadays, so these videos can be easily downloaded. These videos influence on young people and inspire their desires to take part in street racing. 

What can be done to reduce the number of car accidents in street racing? First of all, it is necessary to understand that streets are not the place for street racing, because of its danger. Moreover, it is necessary to remember that street racers are not professional drivers. Because of their unprofessionalism many people die every day. So, it is necessary to organize street racing in some special places. It is necessary to turn street racing into an exciting sport. As any other kind of sport it will require discipline, good training and skill. There are not so many places where people can race safely. These are so called drag strips. The payment is not very high and everyone can race safely. This is very helpful way to reduce a number of street racing accidents.

In conclusion it should be said with confidence that we run a risk every day. One of the big problems nowadays is illegal street racings young people are involved in. It is practically impossible to eliminate the problem for good, but still it is really possible to decrease an amount of people die in street racing.
